The Garcia Building
CARLOS P. GARCIA HIGH SCHOOL Class '82
As I shot this photo, nostalgia flooded my mind.  I could vividly recall the scenes of our lives, the faces of the people then, the tension building inside just before exams, the ringing laughter of our close friends, the stinging side-glances of our admired classmates, the speeches, sermons, encouragement of the faculties up stage, the colorful array of uniforms, such as fatigue, Garcia skirts, different sizes and shapes of bags, food-keepers, etc.  I can recall the playful Garcians doing all the contemporary street games, the sun shone lightly, sometimes hard on our skinny and oily faces.  Who can forget the throbbing of our hearts each time we see our most admired or detested teachers, our admired opposite sex, and the glee of the circle of friends that made our world brighter in spite of the horrors of exams and graded recitations.
